[4/1/23] Pharmacy Day

ASP VP of Pharmacy Outreach coordinated with Kearny High, Launch High and Morse High School to bring Pharmacy Day back in-person. Students enjoyed interactive activities with student organizations and learned a lot about what pharmacy is all about. Thank you for all the student organizations, student volunteers and pharmacist preceptors. Thank you to Dean Best for welcoming our students!

ASP VP of Pharmacy Outreach coordinated with Kearny High, Launch High and Morse High School to bring Pharmacy Day back in-person. Students enjoyed interactive activities with student organizations and learned a lot about what pharmacy is all about. Thank you for all the student organizations, student volunteers and pharmacist preceptors. Here, we have APhA talking to students about the importance of diabetes and hypertension awareness, as well as the importance of immunization.

[2/24/2023] Silent Auction Winners

On February 24, 2023, ASP hosted the annual Silent Auction to fundraise money for our upcoming Banquet! Many items were auctioned off and in total, we raised over $1,000 in funds. Here is a picture of some of our wonderful winners.

ASP and CSHP collaborated and hosted the alumni panel. Three alumni were present. The students enjoyed all the advices that our speakers offered.

ASP VP of Networking successfully hosted the first in-person Mentor-Mentee Meet & Greet event since the pandemic. We had around 20 pharmacists and 30 student pharmacists in attendance!

[10/12/2022] Phi Lambda Sigma Epsilon Alpha Initiation & Installation

The Epsilon Alpha chapter at UCSD SSPPS initiated and installed Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) newest members! PLS is a national pharmacy leadership society. As of today, over 100 chapters are active at pharmacy schools across the United States. Through PLS, UCSD SSPPS aims to offer a unique distinction for students upon graduation and for future career endeavors! Please join us in congratulating our student pharmacists on their accomplishments. Let's also give a big round of applause to Rosie Nguyen, our ASP President, on her inauguration as the president, and Stephen Kang, on his inauguration as the secretary of PLS Epsilon Alpha.

[9/20/2022] Student Org Fair at Skaggs

Every year, ASP coordinates with student organizations at Skaggs to host the annual Student Org Fair. Here, P1s as well as current students, get to learn about what student leadership opportunities are available. In the photo above, we have IPho, CSHP, APhA, AMCP, AAPP, CPFI, ASCP and KY.

[7/15/2022] Student Pharmacists at Rady's Children Summer Medical Academy Outreach

ASP Pharmacy Outreach Chairs partnered with Rady's Children Hospital to host a summer outreach event. Student organizations involved were APhA, CSHP, KY, ASCP and CPNP. Student pharmacists presented topics such as diabetes, hypertension, compounding, mental health awareness, asthma and medication safety.
